She let Jeni wash her hair...without crying at all!

Lilah getting her first REAL haircut. What a big girl!

4 Month Hiatus!

Sorry it has been so long! 2 kids, a job, a home, and a husband working late hours--does not a blogger make! Here is the low down of what is going on in our lives.

Laith turned 6 months on November 6. He now has 6 teeth, does a wicked army-crawl, and is eating healthily! He loves baby food, and I think we're ready to begin step 2's...I mean, with 6 teeth he's almost ready for steak! He has become quite a "screamer"...he loves being held, and in the "mix of things". So, when you put him down to play...he usually screams until someone comes to play; namely big sis, Lilah. He loves trying to steal whatever she is playing with! :)

Lilah is now 2 1/2 years old. (I can't believe it!) She is completely potty trained with an occasional nighttime-accident. She sleeps so heavily, that she just doesn't wake up. I'll take that over diapers/pull-ups any day! On Monday, she had her first "real" hair cut. We went to Nirvana, and Jeni checked out the curls. We gave her a quick snip, and light layering. The curls just bounced right back! Whew, I was worried she'd lose them! Lilah enjoys playing with her little brother, and is usually sweet to him. Now that he is crawling though...she has to make sure the toys she is playing with...stay out of his mouth! She doesn't like it when he "mouths" her blocks. "Ew, gross, baby" often is heard!

Halloween was great. Mom, Dad and Grammy came over for a supper of chili, clam chowder, hot dogs and lots of sweets! We put the little firepit on the driveway and waited for the trick-or-treaters to come. They did, and we had fun going house to house with Jayden, Drew and Aunt Jamie. The boys were awesome with taking Lilah around, and making sure Laith was happy too.

Samer and I have been busy with our jobs. His carpet cleaning business goes in spurts. This week he has cleaned Sat/Sun for Twenhafels; Mon/Tues for Liz Nelson and this Thursday he is doing Greg and Linda Hoskins. But, after that...nothing. So, we won't/haven't seen him much this week. So, he and I PLANNED a date on Friday. Grandma and Grandpa are keeping the kids. We are going to a movie then dinner! I can't wait! And, NO, 9 months from now...we will NOT be having a baby! Although it is in God's hands...we have decided that we won't be "trying" anymore. It is just too physically hard on my body. My job, has kept me quite busy this year. I have a large amount of kids, and an even bigger amount of groupings! I don't have enough time in the day to "do it all". AND, I'm tutoring again. It's good money, and you know that we could all use a little extra of that!

Today is Veteran's Day and I'm off. I want to thank all of the women and men that have served and are serving our country! In honor of them (and that I have a day off) I plan on uploading some pics to this blog. Wish me luck, and check back by the end of today!! Love to you all!

Grant's Farm cont.

Lilah likes snakes...she didn't get that from me!

The whole family at Grant's Farm July 9, 2009

Grant's Farm

Getting ready for Grant's Farm. Although he's crying...I had to put this pic up! He wore the most adorable outfit given to us by a former teacher, and friend--Mrs. Anne Von Brecht. The hat came in handy. It was in the 90's and VERY sunny.

The first thing we saw were the stables. The clysedales were beautiful! I'm sure they were getting primped and prepped to make their appearance at the All Star festivites! It hasn't happened yet, so I can't be sure...but there was a lot of activity around them! We were able to see 2 baby Clydesdales. They were cute, and dirty! Lilah kept saying "baby"...

Riding on the tram to get into the park. Laith was awake most of the time, and wanted to be by mommy! It was soooo hot, but he only seemed to be comfortable when I wore him in the carrier. It wasn't too bad, but boy was I hot and sticky when we got finished!

Lilah and Daddy on the tram. Look at those HOLLYWOOD sunglasses!

Lilah and Daddy on the carousel. Grant's Farm had a deal...A carousel ride, 2 bottles of milk (to feed goats) and a snowcone for $5. Good deal!

Lilah cried once in the goat pen, the goats were climbing all over EVERYONE! Can you imagine? So, she decided that feeding the goats, was better done OUTSIDE of the pen!

Just an excuse to pose...

This is outside of Lilah's music class. July 7, 2007
Laith went along for the ride, but he stayed outside with mommy, while Aunt Jo took Lilah in, and participated in class! Lilah loves music. She has a difficult time waiting her turn, but she tries! And, she is definitely one of the most animated in the room!
